“It has been the biggest jackpot in the Tralee area in a good while. Once it hit €10,000, the income from the lotto doubled. It generated great interest, people started getting excited about it,” said James.

“We’re going to use the money from the lotto for a new state of the art, astro-turf project, in the field just adjacent to the main pitch in Blennerville. We hope to get that underway early in the new year,” said James.

“We normally restart the lotto at €1,000, but because it has gone so well in the last year or so, we’re starting it at €3,000 next Sunday,” he said.
