A YOUNG local girl showed her generosity by helping out two great organisations with a fundraiser earlier in the summer.

Caoimhe Madden, a fifth class pupil in Scoil Eoin, decided she wanted to help out Recovery Haven after her mom, Helen, used the services there about six years ago.

The 10 year old, from The Spa, grew hair long over a period of time and she cut off the locks in June which she donated to the Little Princesses Trust.

She also fundraised at the same time, raising over €800 for Recovery Haven during the summer, which was presented at their Killerisk centre on Tuesday.

All at Recovery Haven said they were delighted that Caoimhe made the effort and thanked her for the donation.
