THURSDAY was a historic day for Tralee Credit Union as, after 50 years, the name was changed.
It was decided to rebrand it as Cara Credit Union as there are now three offices in Tralee, Castleisland and Killorglin and the directors felt the name “Tralee Credit Union” is not fully inclusive of these towns and hinterlands.
The motion to change the name was passed by a two-thirds majority at their AGM back in December.
It’s all part of the 50th anniversary celebrations at the branch. There was an open day held yesterday with entertainment in all three offices. There was plenty of prizes on offer including a members car draw which was won by Breda O’Callaghan from The Spa.
Well done and the best of sucess to Cara credit union the future
