ONCE again, the Curraheen Community Choir stepped up this Christmas to raise funds for a great cause.

It’s become a tradition now for the choir to sing Christmas carols for an hour outside O’Shea’s Gala in Blennerville and on Friday, December 22 they assembled to sing for St Vincent De Paul.

In that time, the generous customers at the petrol station/shop donated €550. Paddy Kevane, Area President of SVP, was on hand to accept the cheque from Mary O’Shea of O’Shea’s Gala and choir members on Thursday night.

“They put in a great effort once again,” said Paddy Kevane. “This is probably the best year they’ve had so we want to thank them and everyone who gave generously. This will go a long way to helping people.”
