IT’S set to be a very busy weekend on the GAA championship scene with two local derbies taking place.
Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys will play at 6pm on Sunday at Austin Stack Park in Round 1 of the County Championship Relegation Playoff. Extra-time will be played if needed.
There’s bound to be a big crowd at this one with the winner securing senior status for next year. The loser will have one more chance to stay in championship for next year.
The day before sees another championship battle between two local clubs. Churchill will head to Killeen to face Na Gaeil in the quarter-final of the Junior Premier Championship and again it’s expected there will be a great atmosphere.
