DRUGS with an estimated value of €16k were found in the Ballyseedy area last week.
On Thursday last, members of the Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit, acting on confidential information, uncovered the suspected amphetamines weighing over a kilo, in an area of woodland on the outskirts of town, near a popular walking and jogging spot.
The exact nature of the find is being examined in the Garda Forensic Laboratory in Dublin but it is believed that the drugs have a street value of €16,000.
A man of Eastern European origin was arrested, charged in connection with the seizure and appeared at Dingle Court last Friday. He was remanded on bail to appear in Tralee Court on November 26.
