GARDAI are asking the public to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity after eight burglaries were reported in the county over the past week.
In one incident, around €5,000 worth of jewellery was taken from a house. The burglaries took place in Killorglin, Ballylongford, Listowel, Ballyheigue, Knocknagoshel and the Aghadoe area of Killarney.
Gardaí are asking the public if they saw anything suspicious in these areas over the past week to get in touch with them.

They are also asking the public for help in relation to locating vehicles reported stolen. A silver Ford Focus with a 05-MO-3206 registration plate was reported stolen from Killarney in the past week.
Also, a black Audi A4 07-KK-4552 was taken from the Ballybunion area. The driver’s window is possibly broken which might make it stand out. Contact your local garda station if you have any information in relation to the above.
