IT’S one of the county’s – if not the country’s – most beautiful hotels and it could be getting bigger soon.

The renowned Ballyseede Castle Hotel is seeking permission to enlarge its premises by constructing a 16 bedroom extension.

An application has been made to Kerry County Council by Ballyline Castle Limited for the development at the Castle property, which is a protected structure.

The hotel is hugely popular with locals and tourists alike and is a particularly popular wedding venue.

A decision is due on the application on July 28.
