THE Kerry Pony Society is getting all set to hold its annual show when families gather for a whole host of activities in Blennerville this Sunday, July 26.
The day will be officially launched at 1.30pm on Sunday by the Mayor of Kerry, Cllr Pat McCarthy, but the action gets underway much earlier at 10am with contestants taking part in the pony events.
For those looking for family-oriented activities, the ever popular ‘Bonny Baby’ competition will be judged at 2pm so get in early, and there will also be a dog show starting at 3pm, judged by the one and only Ciss O’Connor.
The kids will definitely have something to keep them entertained with the news that the ‘O’Mahonys Travelling Farm’ will be rolling into the village for the day, with face painting and lots more for the little ones as well.
There will be a raffle with spot prizes and some proceeds will be going towards the Recovery Haven.
The day will cost just €5 for adults to enter, with all kids going free on the day.
The Hurley family have kindly allowed the show to be hosted in the field by the old Jeanie Johnston boatyard (turn right after crossing the bridge) and it will be fully signposted for visitors.
