“EVERYBODY cut Footloose!”

Fans of 80s teen cinema will be heading to Fenit later this month for a classic. The Summer Open Air Cinema will be at the Tralee Sailing Club on Wednesday, August 17 with a special screening of Footloose, starring Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer.

Watch out also for an early Sarah Jessica Parker performance and a quintessentially 80s soundtrack of ‘Let’s Hear It For The Boy’, ‘Holding Out For A Hero’ and the title track of course!

The film starts at 9.45pm, but gates open at 8.30pm, so bring a picnic and make a night of it. It’s by the coast so don’t forget to bring lots of blankets and warm clothes. We’re officially in the autumn now and it gets chilly at night.

Feel free to bring deck chair or camp chairs. The ‘Summer Open Air Cinema’ screenings are suitable for kids (8+ yrs old) too but must be accompanied by an adult. There is no alcohol allowed.

Kerry Film Festival would also like to thank Fenit Development Association for their support.
