THE Kerry County Council Tourism Unit is hosting two free workshops for organisers of festivals in Kerry, which will take place in the Arts Service Centre in Killorglin on Wednesday, February 24, and in the County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee on Thursday, February 25, both at 7pm.

The workshops are hosted in recognition of the importance of festivals and events in Kerry and will be presented by AOIFE (the Association of Irish Festival Events), who will offer valuable and insightful advice to help develop and enhance festivals and events.

Joan McCarthy, Head of the Tourism Unit with Kerry County Council, said; “Community tourism is at the heart of Kerry’s enviable status as a leading tourist destination and events and festivals of all shapes and sizes are held in towns and villages throughout Kerry, and welcome thousands of visitors annually.”
