THE price of petrol and diesel at the filling station pumps around Tralee has risen significantly, by about eight cent a litre, since we last carried out a survey two months ago.

Last time out in our regular check, prices of petrol and diesel per litre at garages around town ranged from €1.35.8 to €1.40.9 and €1.25.8 to €1.30.8 respectively. Now the range is €1.43.5 to €1.48.9 and €1.33.5 to €1.38.9.

The cheapest stations for both petrol and diesel were the Applegreen stations in Manor and Fairies Cross and the Monavalley Service Station.
