GARDAI are appealing to the public for information  after a car was damaged yesterday in a hit and run incident in a hotel car park in Tralee.

On Wednesday, March 23, between 11am and 12 midday, the owner parked her Black Mercedes Benz C series coupe registration 132D *** in the carpark of the Fels Point Hotel, Dan Spring Road.

When the owner returned to the vehicle the owner noticed  damage to the rear of the vehicle. There was a hole through the boot into the inside of the car and damage to the bumper. The estimated total value of damage is €1,800.

Garda believe it may have possibly have been a van or jeep or some high vehicle as the damage was high near the registration plate.  It could have also been done by an attachment to a car such as a bike rack or something similar.

Whoever did the damage would have known they did it, as there would have to have been a forceful  impact to cause the large hole in the boot going straight through the panel.

If anyone can help the gardai with their enquiries, please contact Tralee garda station on 066-7102300.
