MEMBERS of the Tralee Community Garda policing unit were at Manor West Shopping Centre on Wednesday to give tips on bicycle safety.
It was all part of National Bike Week which is taking place until Sunday. The gardaí were giving advice on how to stay safe while cycling on the roads as well as tips for theft prevention.
They had a Garda bike locked up at the bike parking facility outside the shopping centre which had instructions on how to properly lock the bike to prevent it being stolen.

The bike will be placed at other bicycle parking facilities around the town centre over the next couple of weeks so cyclists can have a look and get the tips.
