GARDAI in Tralee will be maintaining a strong presence in the aftermath of the St Patrick’s Day Parade on Thursday to discourage any anti-social behaviour.

Speaking on Radio Kerry on Monday afternoon, Garda Cathy Murphy said there have been a number of reports over the years of anti-social behaviour in the town in the hours after the parade finishes involving large groups of teenagers.

She said people have been waiting two years for the parade to return and it should be a day for everybody. Therefore they will have a strong presence in town and are asking people to contact them if they see or experience any incidents.
