TRALEE Rotary Club and Down syndrome Kerry have got together to promote a day for dropping off unwanted bicycles and clothing at two different venues this Saturday.
If you have an old bike that you want to get rid of, then a trip to Tralee Rugby Club is in order later this month and at the same time you could help out children in Africa.
Tralee Rotary Club is encouraging people to donate the bikes which will then be refurbished and subsequently sent to African schools for use by both primary and secondary students. Over 3,000 bikes have been sent to Africa so far in the Rotary Ireland campaign.

Many African children live in remote communities and the only way they can get to school is to walk. A bicycle would make a world of difference to them, their families and local communities.
You can drop off the bikes at Tralee Rugby Club on Saturday between 11am and 6pm.
On the same day, you can also drop off any unwanted shoes and clothes to Down Syndrome Kerry Shop on High Street in Tralee which is holding a Clothes Collection Day. People can bring clothes, shoes, books, bric a brac and ornaments to the shop which they can then sell at the shop.
