THE Killeen Woods house run by Novas Initiatives, where Dmitry Hrynkevich was found with serious injuries in the front garden, is currently closed while the murder investigation is taking place.

The two men who were arrested and questioned in relation to the murder of 24 year old Dmitry Hrynkevich last Wednesday night, were not living, nor were they ever, residents in the house.

The four bedroom property houses both men and women and provides long-term accommodation for homeless people, at a time when there has been a sharp rise in the homeless problem since the start of the year.

Along with the house in Killeen Woods, the non profit organisation manages the temporary-supported homeless facility, Arlington Lodge, on Church Street and oversees accommodation on the Golf Links Road.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the assault which took place Wednesday night last at approximately 10:30pm. Mr Hrynkevich, later died at Kerry General Hospital on Friday.

Two men were arrested, but have since been released without charge.
