THE Europe Hotel & Resort recently presented a cheque of €8,150 to Down Syndrome Kerry raised from their Christmas Fundraiser.
“We are most grateful to The Europe Hotel & Resort for this wonderful fundraising initiative – Bertie and Charlie Bear,” said John O’Connor, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Kerry.
“The funds raised will help provide essential therapies and services for our members. We very much look forward to working with The Europe Hotel & Resort again in the future.”

In December 2023, The Europe Hotel & Resort welcomed back Bertie Bear and his cousin, Charlie Bear who always come to stay at the five-star hotel for the festive season. As well as the families getting together, the two cousins like to do something to help others and in December they chose to support Down Syndrome Kerry as the hotel’s annual Christmas charity.
Down Syndrome Kerry is a parent-led voluntary organisation, supporting over 230 families throughout County Kerry and into parts of Cork and Limerick.
