THIS year around 300 people took part in the Dingle Way Challenge, which was the highest total since it began four years ago.
The first person to complete the ultra part of the walk was, Geraldine O’Sullivan from Bantry Athletic Club.
The challenging course, is split into two routes – a ’57km Ultra’ route and a ’40km Challenge’ route.
Weather was on the side of the competitors with glorious sunshine filling the sky for most of the day, allowing for fantastic views of the Dingle Peninsula.
Over the last few years the challenge has helped promote the area and its beautiful scenery, along with raising funds for the Blennerville-based GAA club. Scroll down for photos…
