THE Institute of Technology Tralee has announced a week of virtual open days to take place from May 5th to May 8th, to coincide with the opening of the CAO “Change of Mind” facility.

The open days offer CAO applicants the opportunity to discuss their options with admissions, student support services and academic staff before finalising their CAO choices.

Hosted on open.ittralee.ie applicants will be able to log on and ask questions, which will then be answered live by Institute experts.

The dates and times for the open day sessions are:

Tuesday May 5th Student Support Services 11am – 1pm

Tuesday May 5th Admissions – 2pm – 4pm

Wednesday May 6th School of Business, Computing and Humanities 2pm – 4pm

Thursday May 7th School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics 2pm – 4pm

Friday May 8th School of Health & Social Sciences 2pm – 4pm

Commenting on the announcement of the virtual open day Vice President for Research, Development and External Engagement Brid McElligott said; “We all have to keep our distance at this time but the staff of IT Tralee are still available to offer support and advice to those considering their third level choices.

“The COVID19 crisis has created an opportunity for third level providers to innovate when it comes to helping students to select their preferred college course. We realise that this year’s Leaving Certificate students face challenges like no other and we hope that by creating this easy to use platform we will help to take the stress out of college choices during this time.”

Acting Vice President Academic Affairs and Registrar Aileen Kennedy said; “I’d encourage applicants, their parents and guardians and those thinking about returning to college to take part in our virtual open day and see the diversity of our programmes first-hand.

“Whether you have yet to make your final decision or have already decided that IT Tralee is your college of choice, it can be extremely valuable to connect with our academic and student support staff to ask any questions you may have.   We look forward to welcoming these students in the autumn as they start their third level journey and life returns to normal.”
