KERRY PLAYERS AND MANAGEMENT

From all at John Mitchels, best wishes to Jack O Connor and the Kerry senior football team against Galway in Sundays all Ireland Football Final and a massive congratulations to the Kerry Ladies football team who qualified for this years All Ireland Senior Ladies Final.

UNDER 7 BOYS & GIRLS

We had a wonderful morning in the hall this Sunday where the players challenged each other and the coaches to relay races!

Each race focused on a new skill which tested everyone throughout the session.

The players were definitely the winners this weekend.

Training continues next Sunday at 10:30am and new members are more than welcome.

U8/U10/GIRLS

The girls put in a fantastic effort in the glorious sunshine on Sunday last.

The 15 girls went straight into a warm up by working on hand passing and calling for the ball.

They went straight into a kicking drill where they girls are showing huge improvements each day.

To finish the session they played  game and the football on show was outstanding.

Training will take a break next Sunday due to the All Ireland final so we will resume the following week.

Training days and times will be sent out to parents in due course.

U12 GIRLS

The break from competitive action on the pitch  has give the girls a well deserved break and the coaches an opportunity to work on a few things with the team ahead of the start of the Town league.

Training has gone extremely well over the past week and compiled with the really successful John Mitchels Cúl Camp, the girls are now playing really excellent football and look really sharp.

We are also delighted to welcome two new girls to the U12  team. Mia and Sophie hit the ground running on Sunday morning and we welcome them to the John Mitchels Club.

Training resumes on Wednesday evening at 7 and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the field.

Congratulations also to our star midfielder Amy Noonan who won a Silver Medal in her 600 Meter middle distance race at the All Ireland Nationals B Competition in Tullamore on Saturday afternoon last. All your team mates and coaches are extremely proud of you.

U14 GIRLS

John Mitchels u14 girls have qualified for the A Final of Division 5 of the County League, with Dr Crokes the opponents.

The game has yet to be formally fixed, but training sessions have been very productive with the girls working hard and showing well during these training sessions.

Training continued on Sunday evening in preparation for the final, with a number of u16s coming in to help with preparations.

U16 GIRLS

Training for U16 ladies continues this Monday evening from 6.00-7.00pm in preparation for upcoming North Kerry League

All newcomers welcome.

U 9 boys who played stacks at home on Sunday morning in John Mitchels

UNDER 9 BOYS

John Mitchels U9 Boys hosted @austin_stacks_gaa U9s on Sunday morning last for some non competitive Go Games.

Both sides had a good turn out & were able to field 3 teams each.

The games themselves were kept to 12mins long with both sides displaying some great football skills.

Our thanks to @austin_stacks_gaa for coming to us & we look forward to a return game in the next few weeks.

UNDER 11 BOYS

We had 2 fantastic training sessions this week, focusing on the fundamentals as well as kicking off both left and right.

As usual, the lads put in a brilliant shift and are eager to learn.

We hope to enter two teams on the Central League which will hopefully start in the next two to three weeks.

Training this week will be Thursday evening at 6pm, please bring gum shield and water.

UNDER 13 BOYS

Training continues Wednesday at 7pm and Friday at 8pm in Ballyseedy.

New players always welcome.

UNDER 15 BOYS

On Wednesday evening last we made the long journey to Templenoe to play Templenoe/Tuosist Derrynane/Sneem combined.

In the first half we found ourselves 6pts behind but the boys dug deep in the second half to claw it back and go 2pts in front.

The fighting spirit from the boys was a joy to watch but deep into injury time we conceded a late penalty to see us lose by a single point.

Unfortunately we were not the victors on the night but that’s football.

The boys left everything out there and deserve a lot of credit for their efforts.

Well done to team and mentors and the crack on the way back on the bus was brilliant with some great singers.

Football is about fun and enjoyment and not all about winning we took a lot of positives from the game and were happy how the lads played and behaved.

We will train again on Wednesday evening 5-30pm Na Misteallaig Abu.
