JRI America staff help with Tralee Tidy Towns.

STAFF from JRI America joined forces with Tralee Tidy Towns to hopefully improve Tralee’s performance in the latest Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey last week.

Some of the key lanes mentioned as problem spots in the last IBAL report were the focus of the clean up – most notably Market Street and other lanes behind the main streets of the town.

JRI America staff were volunteering as part of their international volunteer events with a focus on community  involvement.

Shane Walsh, Ireland Division Head, JRI America Inc. said: “A core value of JRIA Tralee is contributing to a sustainable society by addressing environmental and social issues.

“Partnering with organizations such as Tralee Tidy Towns empowers us to achieve our goals and uphold our values as an organization. Most importantly, many thanks to our employees for their contributions and unwavering commitment to the community.”

Brendan O’Brien from Tralee Tidy Towns said: “IBAL Adjudicators are out surveying Irish towns this time of year and we’re doing everything we can to help in the effort to get the best possible rating for Tralee – the support during daylight hours from JRI America is very heartening at this time of year when the weather is not as inviting and they’ve really shown a fantastic commitment to us and to the town through volunteering at events like this.”
