THE folks at Kerins O’Rahillys enjoyed a fun couple of weeks taking part in a Jerusalema Dance Challenge which has raised thousands of euro for the club and the Palliative Care Unit at UHK.

The KORusalema Challenge started with members of the senior management and players taking part in a video posted on their social media pages.

Club members were encouraged to take part in their own socially distant dances and to donate to a gofundme page, which they did with great enthusiasm.

The result was raising €3576.63 with €1,073 going to the Palliative Care unit in KUH and the balance going directly to the Juvenile Club.

Chairman of the juvenile club, Adrian Doody said they were doing the challenge in memory of those lost and in appreciation of the great work carried out by the wonderful, dedicated staff in the Palliative Care Unit, UHK.

It was also to give a lift to people whose mental health has been challenged during the pandemic. The club thanked everyone in the community who danced, supported and donated and also McElligott’s Funeral Home for a generous donation.
