Seniors:

The inclement weather again wreaked havoc with fixtures this weekend, with our game vs St Pats falling foul of the elements.

There are no games planned currently but we await news of back games and hopefully an improvement in weather conditions to allow games to take place.

Congratulations:

Mercy Mounthawk will contest their first ever Hogan Cup final on March 16th next in Croke Park when they disposed of a stern challenge from Naas CBS in the All Ireland semi final on Saturday last.

They were full value for their win running out five point winners on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-10.

Well done to Tomás, Jake, Odhran and Breandán for their contributions and we wish them all the best in their quest for ultimate honours.

Job Vacancy:

We currently have a vacancy under the CE Scheme – applicants must be unemployed in the previous 12 months and in receipt of social welfare payments – the role is for 19.5 hours per week. If you would like to apply or have any questions please contact the club on 085 2095001.

Juvenile Academy Notes:

Juvenile Academy continued on Sunday morning at MTU sports academy.

It was great to see everyone back and we welcomed some new faces too which was great to see.

Another fantastic morning was had by all. The children could be heard enjoying themselves throughout the halls. Huge thanks again to our Committee and coaches for all the planning and ensuring everything ran so well. Training continues next Sunday 3rd March at 12pm in the MTU Sports Academy.

New members are always welcome to join our Club, so please come along and try it out.

Bring a friend:

We are running a little initiative where everyone that brings a friend who is a new member to Academy will be entered into a draw for themselves and their friend for a full Kerins O’Rahillys Kit and Football. Keep an eye on our social media for more info.

Clubzap:

It is vital that all members download clubzap and add Kerins O’Rahillys to their account. Clubzap will be used for all communication regarding each age group from U5s upwards. If you are having any difficulty with joining clubzap please ask one of our committee members on Sunday mornings to assist you and we will be happy to help- or contact us through any of our social media outlets.

U16 Girls

We had big numbers for training on Tuesday evening in the Astro at The Green.

We were delighted to welcome a new girl to our team,  Bridget Stewart who joined us Tuesday night where she worked with us on speed fitness and ball control. We are delighted to add another half forward to our selection.

We hit the gym on Friday in Kerins O’Rahillys for more work on core strengthening and a good session on legs.

All the girls are showing massive improvement every week and numbers are always good for the gym. We were unable to train on the pitch Sunday due to pitches being unplayable.

Our county girls game was also cancelled so only two nights out this week.

We also had a birthday in our team Jocelyn Cushin turned 16 so we will see her Tuesday night for our usual sing song.
