Seniors:

Our division 1 status was pushed deeper into jeopardy following Dingle’s victory on Saturday night when they defeated Milltown/Castlemaine in Dingle – Milltown are the first side to be  relegated as a result of this loss.

We currently sit on 6 points with our final game, away to Ballymac a must win game and even then victory might not be enough to save our status.

Dingle on 7 points entertain Spa who are already safe; An Ghaeltacht on 5 points play already relegated Milltown/Castlemaine whilst Legion, currently on 8 points must take something from their game away to Glenflesk.

It all promises to be a nail biting finale given that we could be relegated even if winning, could be safe if other results go our way or could even end up in a play off if Dingle draw or Legion lose.

Keep tuned in to X ( Twitter) on Sunday next, 23rd June  as the drama unfolds – all games are being played simultaneously @ 14.00

New Gym:

There was a large turnout in the Healy Room on Saturday night for the official opening of the new gym.

Chairman, Oliver Molloy thanked those who made it possible from the donations of JP & Noreen McManus to the fundraiser Last Man Standing plus the contributions of all the volunteers who worked wonders into making the gym the state of the art facility it is.

The ribbon was officially cut by Kay Hoffman and Róisin Healy, daughters of the late Pat Healy.

Academy:

Our Academy continued Sunday morning as usual with great numbers in attendance throughout each age group. Academy takes place every Sunday morning from 10am to 11am.  New members are always welcome to join.

Both our U8 and U10 Girls are travelling to Churchill next Sunday 23rd June for their next go games.

U11 Boys

U11 Boys:

Well done to our U11s on Thursday night who put in two great performances against Beaufort in Healy Park. Thanks to Beaufort for travelling in. Unfortunately training had to be cancelled on Saturday due to the weather.

U13 Boys

U13 Boys:

Not our day on Sunday  in the U13 B County Final against Ardfert in Blennerville.  The boys gave it their all against an extremely strong Ardfert B team.  Fionn Smith gave a powerful performance throughout and Eammon Murphy at the back both stood out.

Special mention to the five U11s who played tonight . The future looks bright for this group and this made us all very proud.

Final Score:

Ardfert B 5-10

KOR B 2-07

Do you have unwanted football boots, club jerseys/tops etc?

In a bid to reduce, reuse and recycle we are seeking donations! If you have some usable and clean unwanted gear that no longer fits your child and would like to donate, please bring it to Academy Sunday mornings. We will then have a stall setup over the coming weeks with all items received available to our members for a small donation.

Thank you :

The Juvenile Academy would like to thank everyone who supported their Bucket collection on Saturday that took place in Dunnes Horan Centre, Supervalu and Outside Der O Sullivan’s the Mall.

Massive thank you to all our volunteers who gave up their time to cover the slots and to our committee members for coordinating the whole day.  We really do have a great community within our club who all pull together when needed.

Ladies Notes:

U12 Girls:

KOR U12 girls were back to winning ways against Chorca Dhuibhne on Wednesday evening. They had to come from behind after the first half but  found their range in the second half. Ellie-Marie was on fire kicking point after point with ease. Our backs were ferocious in defence and didn’t give the girls from back west an inch. It was a really good team performance where everyone worked so hard. Well done girls.

Kerins O’Rahillys Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others are hosting a Fundraising Quiz on Wednesday 19th June at 7:30pm in the Klub Bar. €40 per table of 4, winners will receive 4 x €25 One4All vouchers kindly sponsored by Quirke Security.
