Strand RoadJuveniles

U6/8/10 Girls and Boys Our U8 and 10 boys travelled to Kilcummin on Saturday last and played some very skilful games where all their hard work is paying off. Kilcummin will be paying a return visit on Saturday next. They will be bringing U6, 8, and 10 boys and girls so Healy Park Ballyrickard will be a hive of activity. All players are asked to be there for 10.45.
U14s U14s were defeated by a stronger John Mitchels side in the Town League semi-final.
U16s U16s played and defeated Churchill in a back game in the Town League on Sunday last. They have a back game v Ardfert due to be played in Ardfert on Friday 3rd at 6pm. This is subject to change. They are due to play Na Gaeil on Sunday the 5th of October at 12pm in Strand Road.

Senior Football

The Seniors were due to play Kilcummin in Round 10 of the County League on Saturday last. The game was postponed late on Friday evening due to Kilcummin being unable to field a team. The game will be rescheduled at a later date.

Mouth-Guards

As you may be aware it will be compulsory for all players senior right down to juvenile to wear mouth-guards at training sessions and when playing games. This comes into effect for seniors from 1st January 2014 and has been in effect for all others since last January. If players fail to wear mouth guards they will not be permitted to participate in football training or matches. No mouthguard No game! Ladies Football
U12 Girls The U12 girls train Tuesdays and Thursdays. Texts will be sent with training times.
U14/U16 U14 and U16 Ladies train every Tuesday at 6.15 in Ballyrickard.

Birthday Wishes
Birthday wishes this week go to Eadra Hayes U10 and Dylana O’Regan U12 girls. Enjoy your Birthday!

Lotto
The Lotto takes place in Charlie’s Bar every Monday. The Lotto results for Monday the 22nd of September were 4, 7, 10 and 25. There was no jackpot winner; the next jackpot will be €7,000. There were 4 match 3 winners. They were Seán Carmody DD, John Kelly DD, John Nix DD and Morgan Nix DD. The 5 entrants for the December Draw were Phylis Herlihy c/o Club, Janna Foley c/o Fred, Jamie McCannon Spa Rd, Seán Kissane DD and Dermot Ryan DD. To play the Kerins O’Rahillys Lotto, four numbers are selected from 1 to 28. If anybody matches the four numbers selected on the night he/she wins the Jackpot. Match three numbers to win €25. Tickets cost €2 each. The Kerins O’Rahillys Lotto can also be played online at www.korgaa.com
Lotto Sellers The club needs lotto ticket sellers. It can be worth your while. If you are interested contact any member of the Senior Committee.

Cards
Whist drive is back in the Club on Thursday nights. Join in from 8.30 on.

Charlie’s Bar
Club Lotto on takes place in the bar every Monday night with a special in house raffle if you are present so why not pop along. Why not treat yourself to lunch in Charlie’s. There’s something to please everyone. Weightwatchers takes place in the Healy Room every Thursday and have now changed to “winter” times.

Classes now take place at 9.30am, 12.30 and 5.30pm. The Active Retired Coffee Morning Group meets every Tuesday morning in Charlie’s. Come along and keep in touch with old friends and make new friends. All welcome.

“Dance for Fun” is back on Wednesday nights. All welcome. We have many different size function rooms and cater to all types of function. We also have Barbecue facilities so with beautiful Indian summer continuing why not consider having a barbecue at Charlie’s.
