KERRY College held a special event to mark World Mental Health Day on Tuesday.
An animation student, Trevor Leen, created a display with special messages from students with thought provoking messages just inside the entrance to the Clash Campus.
“We’re also distributing green ribbons from seachange.ie to raise awareness of mental health and break the stigma associated with it and encourage people to talk about it,” said Trevor.

Co-ordinated by teachers Mary Galvin and Miranda Cournane, they also brought in Caoimhe Keogan from Jigsaw Kerry to give a talk on mental health.
“Our music students will also be performing after the talk here in the canteen. It’s all to create a positive mental health environment in the College,” said Miranda.
