Kerry Dairy Leaders Graduate From ICOS Production Supervisory Programme

A NUMBER of Kerry Group employees have graduated from an ICOS Skillnet Production Supervisory Programme at a  ceremony in Portlaoise recently.

The Kerry graduates emerged from the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS) Production Supervisory Programme which has been designed exclusively for the Irish co-operative sector by ICOS Skillnet, the learning and development division of ICOS (Irish Co-operative Organisation Society) in conjunction with University College Cork.

Participants studied several technical and management topics including, dairy technology, microbiology and environmental topics, future trends, effective communication, conflict management and performance management.

The modules were taught through a mix of lectures, workshops and self-directed learning. Designed to foster a multi-disciplinary approach to simulate real organisation and business conditions, course participants came from a variety of professional and technical backgrounds.

ICOS Skillnet is funded by Skillnet Ireland and member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.
