Kerry To Play Dublin In Thurles As National League Fixtures Revealed

MEMORIES of Maurice Fitzgerald’s famous point and John Crowley’s brace of goals will come flooding back to Kerry fans next month as it was revealed the Kingdom will play Dublin in Thurles next month.

It’s part of the Allianz National League Division 1 South fixtures announced today by the GAA. Kerry will play the All-Ireland champions on Sunday, May 23, in their neutral venue game as part of their three league fixtures.

The last time they played Dublin at that venue was in 2001 where the titans of the game played out two thrilling All-Ireland quarter-finals, with the Kingdom coming out on top.

Kerry’s first game next month will be against Galway in Tralee at 3pm on Saturday, May 15. In Round 2, Kerry play Dublin at 1.45pm on Sunday, May 23 at Semple Stadium in Thurles and finally, on 3.45pm on Sunday, May 30 they take on Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park.

The Kerry hurlers begin their Allianz Hurling League Division 2A campaign in Austin Stack Park against Down on Saturday, May 8 at 1pm. Next is an away game versus Offaly at 2pm in Tullamore on Sunday May 16.

It’s back to Tralee on Sunday, May 23 for a tie against Meath at 1pm and at home again versus Wicklow on Saturday June 5 at 4pm. There final game is away to Carlow on Saturday, June 12 at 1pm.
