LISTELLICK school is inviting past pupils to join them in their 150th anniversary celebrations next month.

It should be a memorable day with a commemoration mass followed by book launch which will be held at the Church of Our Lady and St. Brendan Tralee on Friday, October 10 at 7pm.

The Listellick 150 book, compiled by a committee led by former principal Micheál O Cinnéide, traces the history of the school down through the years, the pupils and teachers who attended there, also the story of rural life at the time.

The 248 page book features roll books since 1864, stories from past pupils as well as a wide selection of photographs.
