The Kerry minor and junior football teams, the Kerry minor hurlers and the Kerry ladies U16 teams will be honoured by Kerry County Council while the other Municipal Districts will honour sportsmen and women.

These include transplant games athlete Alan Gleeson (Listowel MD), Fossa Rowing Team (Killarney MD) and Monika Dukarska (South and West Kerry MD).

Mary Sheehy holed an incredible 50 foot putt to give Ireland a 3-2 win over Belgium and victory in the European Senior Ladies’ Team Championship in Poland for the second time.

Mary, daughter of former Kerry player and John Mitchels legend Niall and Beatrice Sheehy, is a popular member of Tralee, Ballybunion and Killarney clubs and has represented her province on many occasions.
