THE Kingdom County Fair will return this month for two days at the Kingdom County Fair Showgrounds at Ballymacthomashas over Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12.
Held in Tralee for over 70 years, the mission is to provide a platform for local businesses to display their goods to the public and for the promotion of local culture including music, dance, home crafts, horticulture.
They will host a wide range of classes for cattle, sheep, goats, horses and a dog show, bonny baby, best dressed competition, arts and crafts, vintage show amongst numerous other activities on the day.

For the kid there’s Little Rosebuds entertainment, Scottys Circus, the Westport Sheepdog Experience, fun fair/amusement rides, toy stalls, children’s classes in the dog show, in hand young handlers classses in the cattle showing & pony showing, ridden pony showing classes, puppet shows, circus acts, balloon making and more.
It’s an opportunity for urban dwellers to meet with their rural neighbours and to experience rural living and rural pursuits.
