“I was stunned!” Martin told us, when we asked how it felt winning the award. “It took a while to sink in, but then I enjoyed the moment of glory. It was also a surprise, given the high standard of the other nominees, but the Bait Weaver speaks for itself,” he said.

Ullcatch develops products and accessories for anglers which differ significantly from their competitors, because of their novel and innovative designs. They are designed by anglers to provide innovative solutions to real problems experienced by anglers.

The Bank of Ireland Startup Awards are open to all sole traders, partnerships or bodies corporate, trading in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland that have been in business three years or less on September 30th 2015 and employ 30 staff or less.

The awards are now in their fourth year and are a firm fixture on the business calendar.
