MARTY MORRISSEY was in town to open the official new look Garveys SuperValu in Tralee on Thursday.
A crowd of around 200 people were there to meet Marty and some Kerry footballers at the new look Garveys supermarket on Rock Street opened originally in 1992.
The store employs 80 people and have added 10 more jobs since undergoing the €2.2 million makeover.
David Moran, Barry John Keane, Kieran Donaghy, Marc O’Se and Aidan O’Mahony were their representing the Kerry footballers and John Griffin for the hurlers.
Back in 1992 it was Coronation Street star Reg Holdsworth who opened the store. On this occasion Marty proved to be just as charismatic a celebrity to do the job. Scroll down for photos…
