MET Éireann has issued a Weather Advisory for Ireland in advance of low temperatures on the way early next week.
However, while it looks like it will get very cold in Kerry it’s the east and north of the country that will get the worst of the weather.
Met Éireann says Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be very cold with temperatures in low single figures by day and with sharp or severe frosts and icy patches at night.

There will be showers of sleet or snow at times in eastern counties from Sunday evening onwards and hazardous conditions on roads and paths.
In the Tralee area, the forecast is for very little or no precipitation from Saturday until Wednesday night, with temperatures deteriorating up until then with snow possible in the early hours of Thursday.
It’s set to be coldest on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, where temperatures could go as low as -5°C.
The Advisory is valid from Sunday at 6.30am to 6pm on Wednesday. It’s likely that more regional specific warnings will be issued in the coming days.
