A NEW website, app and 2017 calendar to showcase a fantastic project were launched on Thursday night at The Munster Bar.
The Mitchels Regeneration Community Project, in association with the Historical & Heritage Committee launched the projects which gives people a chance to access a range of information about the area.

Mayor of Tralee, Terry O’ Brien, launched their calendar, the new website – www.mitchelsregeneration.com – which includes pictures, audio and events of past projects – and their historical APP “Mitchels Memories” which will be available very shortly on Google Plan and App Store.
The App links archived recordings and photographs to their locations around the regeneration area.
Michael Scannell, Director of Services from the Kerry County Council, also spoke at the event and praised the committee for their work in preserving their history for future generations of the community.
The committee comprises of locals Johnnie Wall and Angela Walsh as well as a rep from the HSE and Paula O’Sullivan, Researcher & Administrator, who have worked throughout the year to ensure that the wealth of history of the Mitchel’s community is available to all natives at home and abroad.
The 2017 calendar will shortly be available to download from the website.
