A COMMUNITY group in the Mitchels area has been busy all week with activities for kids  in the area and held a Halloween party for kids on Friday.

The Croilar Na Mhistealach residents community has set up in Aras an Phobail building and provided fun events for kids to do in the evening while they’re on their midterm holidays from school.

With help from North and East Kerry Development, they took part in arts and crafts on Monday and Tuesday, followed by a movie night while on Thursday they showed the movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.

Capping off the week though, was a Halloween party on Friday.

“It’s nice to do because at the moment it gets dark early so the children can’t play outside,” said Kristine Silina of  Croilar Na Mhistealach residents community. “They can get bored at home so we can have them hear an hour and a half and play games.”

The group regularly holds activities for kids and soon will be rolling out arts and crafts activities for adults in the lead up to Christmas.
