CROILAR na Mhistealach Residents Committee held a Flower Planting Workshop for the estate’s children on Saturday.

Last year, the committee bought 10 hanging flower baskets to display between houses and this spring they decided to reuse them and involve children in planting the flowers.

“It was an educational and hands-on workshop where children got involved in preparing the flower baskets,” said Kristine Silina of the residents committee.

“A few weeks ago residents came together for big Spring Clean -up and after that other estate enhancement jobs will be following. Croilar na Mhistealach Residents Committee and residents take great pride in the visual look of street and it greatly paid off last year by receiving Tralee Tidy Towns award,” said Kristine.

The commitee applied for funding to NEKD for flowers, shrubs and soil and it was successfully granted, which is greatly appreciated by the committee.
