Race Night 2022: On Friday the 11th of November Na Gaeil will host their annual Race Night in the clubhouse and will also broadcast live on Facebook. We welcome back the Tote which always adds an extra element of fun and excitement to the night.

This year will also include an Auction for a signed Kerry Jersey. Highlight of the night will be the “The Na Gaeil Gold Cup” with a top prize of €1,000 to the winner.

The Race Night Committee members are actively co-ordinating this year’s event & have been appealing to all club members to give their support in raising vital funds for our club. You can purchase a horse from any member of the Executive or in the bar. The cost is €50.

Lotto results: Lotto Tue 25th October. No Winner. Numbers drawn were 10, 22, 30, 31. Lucky dip winners of €20 were Ciarán O’Connell, Margaret Doody, Róisín Rice, Denis Dillane, Niall O’Meara. Mass: A mass for members and deceased members of Na Gaeil club will be held in the clubhouse on Tuesday 8th November at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

Fitness Classes: Pre-Christmas Fitness for women at Na Gaeil gym weekdays at 7am and Sundays at 8.15am. These 40 minute classes are delivered free to Na Gaeil members. All abilities welcome! Contact Helen Tansley for more details on 087 7631977.

Secondary School Football: Well done to the Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí boys football team who defeated Coláiste Íde agus Iosaf, Abbeyfeale last Thursday in the Moynihan Shield final. Final score GCC 4-11, Abbeyfeale 2-11. The Na Gaeil lads involved were Jack Doyle (capt), Seán O’Connor, Kieran O’Connor, Seán O’Connell, Peter Doyle, Evan Casey, Ruairí Ó hAiniféin, Liam Cooper, Ruadhan Clifford, Conor Lucey and Cian O’Neill. The club’s Diarmuid O’Connor was manager of the team on the day.

Scór na nÓg: We will be rolling along with Scór na nÓg soon. Its for children ranging in age from 4th class to under 17 who may be interested in drama, story-telling, recitation, traditional music or singing. If anyone is interested in this please get in touch with Margaret at 086-0855008.

U9 Boys: Congratulations to our under 9 boys who had their award ceremony last night (Sunday) in Na Gaeil. Thanks to Diarmuid O’Connor for his wise words and for presenting the medals to all our players.

U10 Boys:  Well done to the Na Gaeil u10 boys who participated in the John Lynch Memorial blitz in Connolly Park last Saturday. Despite the awful weather conditions the lads really enjoyed the day.

U15 Boys: Our Town Board/St Brendans Board semi-final versus St. Pats/Kerins O’Rahillys has been re-fixed for tomorrow, Tuesday at 3.30pm in Kerins O’Rahillys.

Girls Awards Night: Plans are afoot to have the awards night for the juvenile ladies next Sunday 6th November.

Halloween Bingo: Monday night the 31st October at Na Gaeil at 8pm sharp. Over €1,000 in Cash Prizes guaranteedalong with Spot Prizes from our Weekly Raffle. We also have “Split the Bucket” for only €2 drawn on the night. As a Halloween Treat all 10 single winners of the Line in the bingo book will also receive a Free Scratch Card bonus prize. Quiz: Our next monthly quiz will be held in the clubhouse next Thursday 3rd November. €20 for a table of four. Everyone welcome.

Na Gaeil cycle club: Cycle each Saturday at 9am from Na Gaeil club. Everyone is welcome to come for a nice friendly cycle.

Cards: The weekly 45 card game is back. Every Wednesday night, starting at 9pm sharp. Bring your own partner or come along and we will get you a partner.
