Na Gaeil AGM: The club’s AGM is due to be held on January 20th. Any motions or nominations for it (AGM) need to be sent to the club secretary John Keating by January 6th. Everyone is welcome to attend on the night.

Wedding bells: Congratulations to our former player Mike Griffin who got married in Australia last week. We wish him and his bride all the very best for their future together.

McGrath Cup: Its been a busy few days for Jack Barry, Diarmuid O’Connor, Stefan Okunbor and Devon Burns with 2 games for Kerry in the McGrath Cup. Diarmuid picked up an injury in the Clare game yesterday so we’d like to wish him a speedy recovery and we hope it’s not serious.

All-Ireland club semi-finals: Congratulations to Rathmore and Fossa who booked their places in their respective All-Ireland finals with big wins last Saturday. We wish them the very best of luck next Sunday in Croke Park. Unfortunately Kerins O’Rahillys just came up short in their semi-final against Kilmacud Crokes. Commiserations to them.

Bingo: Every Monday evening in Na Gaeil clubhouse at 8pm sharp. Over €1,000 in cash prizes guaranteed every week, with an accumulator jackpot in play each week. Double book €10, Single book €6, Mini book €3. Jackpot Sheets €2 each. Bus service available on 087-2817577.

Scór na nÓg: We will be rolling along with Scór na nÓg soon. It’s for children ranging in age from 4th class to under 17 who may be interested in drama, story-telling, recitation, traditional music or singing. If anyone is interested in this please get in touch with Margaret at 086-0855008.

Indoor Training 2023: Our juveniles are planning to start training for the 2023 season in the MTU on Sunday 22nd January.

Hire the Hall: The hall in the clubhouse is available for parties or other events. Please emailnagaeilclubhouse@gmail.com if you’d like to make a booking.

Na Gaeil cycle club: Cycle each Saturday at 9am from Na Gaeil club. Everyone is welcome to come for a nice friendly cycle.

Cards: The weekly 45 card game is back. Every Wednesday night, starting at 9pm sharp. Bring your own partner or come along and we will get you a partner.

Na Gaeil girls involved with Kerry LGFA in 2022: We had Mary O’Connell with the KerrySenior Ladies team with Laura Fitzgerald as the Goalkeeping Coach. They won the National League Div 2 title and they also made it all the way to the Senior All Ireland final but lost to a very strong Meath team.

For the 1st time there was a Kerry Senior B Team with Eddie Sheehy, Mike O’Brien and Janice McHugh taking charge of the team. We had 7 players on this team namely Bríd O’Connor, Eilís O’Connor, Maria Quirke, Meabh Barry, Carla Hanafin, Emma O’Keeffe and Megan O’Connor.

Na Gaeil’s Cara Gannon was part of the Kerry U18 team who won the Munster ‘B’ Championship. Susan Fernane was a coach with the team. We had Aoife Barrett with the Kerry U16s who lost out in the Munster ‘A’ Final to a very strong Cork team. The Kerry U14s won the All-Ireland and we had both Priya O’Donovan and Eve Broderick on this team.

We also had Emma Lynch, Ella O’Shea, Niamh Fitzgibbon, Avril Doyle and Orla Costello on the Kerry U13 Development Squad, there was Gráinne Breen, Aoife Barrett and Kate O’Loughlin on the Kerry U15 Development Squad along with Caoilinn O Brien, Siena Lucey and Cara Gannon on the Kerry U17 Development Squad.
