Senior Men: The curtain finally came down on our Senior team’s long season yesterday when they lost to Ardfert in the Tralee/St. Brendans Board quarter-final.
Club Mass: Our annual mass for deceased club members will be held in the clubhouse on Wednesday 22nd at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome.
Race Night: On Friday 17th November at 8pm Na Gaeil will host their Annual Race Night in the clubhouse and it will also be streamed live on Facebook. All horses purchased will be entered in a draw to compete in the prestigious final race, The Na Gaeil Gold Cup, with a prize of €1,000 for the winner. It could be you!
Its been an Historic Year: Na Gaeil senior men competed in the Co. Championship quarter final for the first time ever. All-Star nominee Diarmuid O’Connor & Jack Barry played at centre field for Kerry in the All-Ireland final.
Mary O’Connell, Eilis O’Connor, Deirdre Kearney were on the Kerry panel for the All-Ireland final with Laura Fitzgerald as goalkeeper coach. We have underage representatives, boys and girls, on all development squads who also play in the Kerry jersey. Congratulations to all our players who brought great pride & joy to their families, and to our club. Currently we are the only club in Kerry with both Ladies and Men teams having senior status. The proceeds of our Race Night are vital funding for
· Catering for all training requirements for over 500 boys and girls, from under 6 to Senior.
· Catering for Scór na nÓg and Scór Sínsir.
· Maintaining and upgrading our facilities, indoors and outdoors.
Please support our club by purchasing a horse for €50. You can win €75 in a standard race and€1,000 in the Na Gaeil Gold Cup. There will also be a Best Dressed Lady and Gent competition with valuable prizes for both. Horses can be purchased online via Klubfunder or in the clubhouse, but hurry as the deadline for buying a horse is Nov. 10th. Bingo: Our mini jackpot house wasn’t won last Monday night so tonight it will be worth €220 if won in 42 calls. Lots of other cash prizes to be won on the night too. Make sure you are there by 8pm sharp. Strictly over 18s. Valid proof is required where necessary.
Volunteers: The club are looking for people to help out at bingo on Monday nights. If you can spare 2 hours every 5 or 6 weeks then Niamh (087-9863667) would be delighted to have you on board.
U16 Girls: Our girls lost out to Ballymac last Monday in Killeen so they will now face Kerins O’Rahillys in the Shield final. Date & venue to be confirmed.
U15 Boys: No luck for our u15 lads who lost to John Mitchels last Monday in Killeen in the semi-final of the Town League.
