St. Patrick’s Day: Absolutely brilliant morning at the St Patrick’s Day parade yesterday. Our youngsters loved the experience. Well done to Barry and his team of mentors and parents. Thanks to Denis Moriarty for all his photos (See our Facebook page).

RIP:  Our sincere sympathy to former players Kieran and Michael O’Shea and their sister Carmel Maloney on the passing of their mother Eileen (Eily) O’Shea last week. May she rest in peace.

Volunteers: The club are looking for people to help out at bingo on Monday nights. If you can spare 2 hours every 5 or 6 weeks then Niamh (087-9863667) would be delighted to have you on board.

Scór: Our Scór showcase was held in the clubhouse last Thursday evening, and what a great nights entertainment it was! Singing, storytelling & drama, enjoyed by a very enthusiastic audience. It’s wonderful to see the range of talent in the club, idir Óg agus aosta! Thursday night was good practice for the county finals of Scór na bPaistí & Scór Sinsear, both of which take place in the Tintean Theatre Ballybunion on Saturday the 23rd March.

The very best of luck to the following youngsters who represent the club in solo singing, dramaíocht & storytelling; Farren Ní Dhálaigh, Harry Rooney, Lily Barrett, Rachel O’Mahony, Daniel Fitzmaurice, Bláithín Casey, Jane Cantwell, Aoibhinn O’Mahony, Caoimhe Ní Shuilleabháin, Ciara Ní Mhurchú, Eva Ní Luasaigh, Aoibhinn Ní Shuilleabháin agus Norena Ní Dhrisceoil. Adults participating are Helen Sugrue, Mary Reen, Noelle & Liam Óg Kingston, Mike O Sullivan, Martin Grealish, & Mary Ross. We hope to have news of county medals & trophies in next week’s notes! Cheltenham Competition: After 4 very competitive days of horse racing it was Mark Lucey who came out on top in the Cheltenham Tipping Competition, taking home the top prize of €200. Conall Foley finished runner up and Brian O’Sullivan took third place.

Drug Awareness Event: U15 and U17 players & their parents are invited to a Drug Awareness event in MTU on Saturday March 23rd from 2pm to 3.30pm. Guest Speaker will be 24 year old Kildare GAA player Conor Harris who will share his story of addiction.

Schools Football: Commiserations to Kian Sheehan, Kevin O’Donoghue and Mercy Mounthawk who lost to   Omagh CBS in the Hogan Cup final last Saturday in Croke Park.

Minor Co. League: Unfortunately our u17 boys lost to Churchill in the County League last Saturday. It was a very close game and the sides were level with just 4 minutes remaining but Churchill finished stronger. Final score was Na Gaeil 1-8, Churchill 2-9.

Girls Training: Na Gaeil Ladies juveniles (u8/u10/u12) are back training for the new season. New members are always welcome. For more information contact Eddie on 087-6791460.

Lidl Ladies National League: Well done to the Kerry Ladies, especially our Na Gaeil girls, who defeated Meath yesterday by 1-15 to 0-5. They will play Galway in their final game next Sunday at a Kerry venue.

Allianz National Football League: Well done to the Kerry senior men who defeated Roscommon yesterday in the National League. They’ll play Galway in the final round next Sunday in Fitzgerald Stadium at 1.45pm.

Na Gaeil cycle club: Cycle each Saturday at 9.30am from Na Gaeil club. Everyone is welcome to come for a nice friendly cycle.

Cards: The weekly 45 card game is held every Wednesday night starting at 9pm. Everyone is welcome.
