CLASSES in national schools around the town have been busy recently creating business ideas as part of the the Junior Entrepreneur Programme.
Fifth and sixth classes at Holy Family and Tralee Educate Together were home to making a few extra bob for their schools with their small enterprises.
Politicians, local and otherwise, along with GAA stars have contributed to a cookery book devised by Mr Liam Moloney’s fifth class in Holy Family.
The ‘Lets Make and Bake Cookbook’ devised by the group includes recipes from Kerry footballers, David Moran and Marc O’Se and Irish rugby international, Alan Quinlan.
Away from the sports field, interim Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, provided his favourite dish along with Michael Healy Rae, who gave a recipe for nettle soup.
In Tralee Educate Together, Rosie Duffy’s, fifth and sixth class designed a range of tie-dye pencil cases which they produced themselves from plain cases they sourced and ordered.
The Junior Entrepreneur Programme is a 10 – 16 week entrepreneurial education programme for primary school pupils. An awards ceremony is held every year in the spring, with schools from all over the county showing their projects. Scroll down for photos…
