VOLUNTARY and community health providers in Kerry are to receive €1,760,614 in once-off funding through the Government’s ‘Inflation Fund’.
This tranche of funding is paid directly to community-based and voluntary health and social care providers as part of Government measures to ease cost-of-living pressures.
In total, 107 organisations across the county will benefit from this funding stream with the St. John of God Community Services receiving €761,182 and the Kerry Parents and Friends Association awarded €504,907.

Welcoming the news, Minister for Education and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley said: “I am delighted to receive confirmation of this vital funding which will help to ease pressures caused by increases in the cost of living for voluntary and community health providers.”
“These organisations are the backbone of communities across Kerry and this funding will ensure that they can continue to provide pivotal services in the face of inflationary pressures and rising energy costs.”
