CONDITIONS were ideal for a run on Saturday morning as the Valentines 10 Miler event took place once again in town.
Part of the Tralee Marathon series of events this year, around 160 runners had registered for the race with runners taking off from near the AquaDome/Wetlands at 9am and finished on Neil Armstrong Way in the Town Park.
“We’ve been blessed with the weather the stewards have been brilliant, as have the Gardaí and it’s all gone really well,” said race organiser Jim McNiece.

It’s the first of six events organised as part of the series with the next race just four weeks away “We’re back again on St Patrick’s weekend for the full marathon and there’s still places available,” said Jim.
First man home was Aidan Hogan in 01:01:31 , followed by Simon O’Toole in 01:01:48 and Danny O’Sullivan in 01:02:47.
First woman home was Mary O’Shea in 01:08:11, followed by Rachel Hawker in 01:08:12 and Yvonne Deegan in 01:13:23. Click here for full list of results and scroll down for photos…
