THE smell of pancakes wafted all round the Manor West Hotel last Tuesday as members of the Kerry Cancer Support Group dished up treats, both savoury and sweet, to passers by.

The charity drive raised over €300 for the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus. Many people attended passed on the pancakes and opted instead to contribute cash to the buckets laid out around the place.

The Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus is a vital bus service, run by the Kerry Cancer Support Group, which transfers cancer patients to and from Cork University Hospital.

“Like most of our events, it was very well attended, the people who support us are very good,” said Breda Dyland of the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus.

The pancake day in the Manor West Hotel is just one of the numerous charity events planned by Kerry Cancer Support Group countywide for 2015.
