IT wasn’t to be for Tralee CBS as they lost the Corn Uí Mhuirí Munster Colleges SFC ‘A’ title to St Brendan’s College Killarney at Fitzgerald Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

They went down by 0-17 to 0-12 in the sunshine as the Killarney outfit outscored them in the second half, aided by the strong wind and clinical shooting to ensure victory.

CBS failed to take full advantage of that wind in the first half and they went into the break even at 0-8 apiece.

St Brendan’s were sharper in the second period picking off their scores and the Green couldn’t make their attacks count in the closing stages to narrow the gap, so ‘The Sem’ enjoyed a deserved victory.

Disappointment then for CBS, but with the talent in the school it won’t be long before Munster silverware returns. Scroll down for photos…
