PHOTOS: The Avenue Wins Out At Garda/KDYS Soccer Blitz

THERE was some great skill and talent on show at the KDL pitches in Mounthawk on Tuesday for the annual Tralee Garda Soccer Blitz.

The event was organised by Tralee Community Policing and KDYS Key Service -A Kerry Garda Divisional Service Model Funded by IYJS & Supported by EU structural funds.

Teams from Tralee and Castleisland participated in the event and a brilliant day was had by all with the weather staying dry and a great crowd of supporters present to cheer on the teams.

Each of the teams had their moments but in the end, it was The Avenue team from Tralee that emerged as Blitz Champions defeating Tshikota FC 3-2 in the final.

The organisers would like to thank the referees for the day Kevin Cunnigham and Denis Guerin and the members of the Tralee Red Cross for providing first aid and John O’Regan from the KDL for the use of the venue. Scroll down for photos…
