TWO Tralee-based cyclists launched a book on the best cycling routes the Kingdom has to offer at O’Mahony’s Bookshop on Friday evening.

‘Cycling Kerry – Great Road Routes’ (The Collins Press, €14.99) by Donnacha Clifford and David Elton was launched by Tom Daly, cyclist, educator and author of The Rás.

They pair have cycled extensively in Kerry – in the space of one year, Elton cycled to every town and village in Kerry, starting from Tralee each time.

Each route description is illustrated with colour maps, photos, a gradient graph and key facts and statistics. Information is provided on the natural landmarks and historical sites you’ll see along the way. With over 2,500km of road covered, the graded routes suit all abilities.
