THE regional semi-finals of the ‘Brains of Kerry’ table quiz took place across the county last night at seven different venues in Kerry.
There was a small turnout for The Brandon Hotel, where the Tralee heat was hosted, but it was an enjoyable evening, with Radio Kerry’s Deirdre Walsh asking the questions.
The same questions were asked at each of the table quizzes by different guest quizmasters at the same time of 9pm. Phones were strictly prohibited on the night so the teams had to rely solely on their own general knowledge.

The other venues that hosted the regional semi-finals were Killarney Avenue Hotel, Manor Inn. Killorglin, Ring of Kerry Hotel, Caherciveen, Brook Lane Hotel, Kenmare, Benner’s Hotel, Dingle and Listowel Arms Hotel.
A number of teams from each venue qualified for the grand final which will take place in Killarney at the Killarney Avenue Hotel on March 2.
The ‘Brains of Kerry’ Table Quiz is in aid of Anthony Morris, from Spa, Killarney. Anthony has been battling chronic Lyme disease for the last nine months and he is receiving specialist treatment in Washington DC.
This fundraiser will help offset some of the huge expenses that Anthony faces. Scroll down for photos…
